How your message is handled
- Collected
- The form collects your name, email address, selected photography type or other enquiry topic, and message. You may also provide a phone number and preferred photography date. The phone number and date are optional. Your name, email address and message are needed to handle your enquiry. Please avoid including unnecessary sensitive information. The photography type and any date you provide also appear in the email subject and may be visible in the recipient’s notifications.
- Purpose
- I use the information to respond to your enquiry, discuss your photography needs and arrange a possible photography service. Service requests are processed to take steps at your request before entering into a contract and to perform any resulting contract. Other enquiries are handled on the basis of a legitimate interest in answering incoming enquiries. The information is not used for marketing or profiling. The form does not use tracking or automated decision-making.
- Recipient
- The controller is Ilkka Rytkönen. For privacy enquiries, contact ilkka@ilkansivu.net. Vercel hosts the service and processes the form submission, Resend delivers the message by email, and Infomaniak hosts the receiving mailbox. Form content is not stored in the website content management system. Vercel also processes technical information needed to operate and protect the service, such as your IP address and the request time. Resend stores message content and logs in the United States, and Infomaniak operates its email service in Switzerland. Resend states that EU Standard Contractual Clauses protect its data transfers and reports participation in the EU–US Data Privacy Framework. You can ask the controller for further information about applicable transfer safeguards.
- Retention
- I keep your enquiry and the related correspondence for no more than 12 months after the last contact. Information needed to perform a contract, fulfil accounting requirements or meet another legal obligation is kept only for as long as that need requires. Resend states that message and log retention is 30 days on the Free plan I use and seven days for backups; provider backups and other technical data have separate retention periods. You may request access, correction and deletion and, where applicable, restriction of processing, object to processing or request data portability. Send requests to ilkka@ilkansivu.net.
