We had portrait photo session earlier in the week before the wedding ceremony. It started to rain just before shooting so we started photographing in a barn. Rain wasn’t any more so hard so we went to a wet barley field.

Elsku and Janne had winter wedding in January. But it was not so wintery conditions until just before the wedding day. There was just enough snow for getting winter wedding portraits in Maikkulan kartano. Wedding ceremony was held in Oulujoki church and we came back to Maikkulan kartano having the reception. Place is very nice for having a big wedding party.

Emilia and Jussi had a fantastic day end of the May. Sun was shining and it was pretty warm but not hot. Hard sun light made my life a bit harder but I trusted that I can survive with my gear and I did. For wedding portrait we needed to had a small location scouting for preventing bright light closing couple’s eyes.

Wedding day of Hanna and Heikki was so beautiful. Before wedding ceremony in Oulu Cathedral we had a portrait photo session in a park next to cathedral. Ainolanpuisto is a great park for wedding portraits. After the ceremony we drove to Toppila to Jazzvintti where reception was held.

It was very nice summer day for Jenni & Tomi. We took portraits on location next to the Oulujoki parish church. Wedding reception were held in Oulunsuun pirtti.

Wedding day in July so weather is to be expected nice and warm. But when Johanna and Jani were aimed to get married it wasn’t so warm and it was rainy also. Luckily rain showers were gone just before wedding ceremony which was held in Lumijoki church. Church is very big and beautiful place. It was my first attempt to try a drone as part of wedding photography.

Laura and Brett had their wedding day at 6th June 2015. Like whole the summer also the wedding day was a bit cold and rainy. Wedding ceremony was held in church of Haukipudas and reception in Martinhovi. Martinhovi was built in 1905 and the place is very nice to have a party.

Summer is short but sometimes weather is perfect for wedding like today. We had very nice day next to Kiiminkijoki river.

Ceremony And Portraits

Marianna and Mikko said ”I will” 18 June 2016 in Oulu Cathedral. We started photographing portraits couple of the hours before that in Villa Hannala. It was rainy day so we were forced to use plan b and had a terrace for shooting and keeping ourselves dry. Rain stopped before the ceremony so everybody could enjoy the summer on it’s best.

February and Finnish winter. Temperatures can be very low but luckily today was a nice day and not so much frost. It was nice to shoot portraits for Mirja and Matti at Metsäkartano Youth Center in Rautavaara.

The wedding day was perfect, it was warm and shiny. Wedding ceremony was held in Kalajoki church and reception in Kalajoki Resort & Spa Sani next to sand dunes and sea.

Pirjo and Ville had a nice autumn day on the day when they said: “I do”. Wedding ceremony was held in Sotkamo church. We took portraits after then wedding ceremony in Hirvensaari. Haapala BnB was a great place to have wedding reception. Food was extremely good, and people were happy

Temperature was -17 °C. Light was incredibly beautiful, and I wanted to get at least couple of the shots outside. It was good decision, and we got the shots that was expected. Wedding ceremony was held in Restaurant Kummisetä.

-13 °C of frost. Seaside. Wind. What a combination for wedding portrait session. I feel comfortable with my jacket, but young couple wasn’t so lucky with their thin clothes. We managed to get shots quickly and then drove to Keminmaa to a small shingle church. Wedding ceremony was held there and it was pretty challenging place for photographer. There weren’t much light and light was different in every corner.
